06/06/2023 – At the end of May, shooting started for the 19th season of the popular ORF/ZDF crime series. South Tyrolean actor Max Fischnaller is a newcomer among the investigators. Fischnaller succeeds Helmut Bohatsch, who is leaving the series at his own request with the opening episode. Andreas Kiendl, Martin Gruber, Lilian Klebow, Brigitte Kren and Maria Happel are back.
13 new episodes, a farewell and a new beginning: The team of “Soko Donau” is entering its 19th round and has been back in front of the camera since Thursday, 25 May 2023. A case that particularly challenges the “Soko” team’s powers of deduction is on the roster right at the start of the season: Lukas Riegler, a member of a small family burglary gang, is shot dead. Small fry. But stupidly they were in the wrong place at the wrong time and got in the way of another gang. Klaus (Andreas Kiendl), Max (Martin Gruber) and Penny (Lilian Klebow) have competing theories as to how the murder happened – all are conclusive, but lead to completely different results. It is Wohlfahrt (Helmut Bohatsch) who puts all the theories together with his sharp mind – and thus also solves his very last case with his colleagues. He is replaced by the young Julius Rubatsch (Max Fischnaller), a native of South Tyrol and passionate natural scientist, who takes over with energy and youthful self-confidence.
