23/09/24 – Nowak is back! In the 20th season of the successful ORF/ZDF crime series, audience favorite Gregor Seberg returns as the new boss of SOKO Donau. His predecessor, Henriette Wolf (Brigitte Kren), is taking her well-deserved retirement from the series. New episodes from the 18th season can be seen from October 1 on ORF 1 and from September 30 on ORF ON.
With “Reine Routine”, the top cops of “Soko Donau” will start the new series season with new episodes of the 18th season on Tuesdays at 8:15 p.m. on ORF 1 from October 1 and on Mondays at 8:15 p.m. on ORF ON from September 30. Behind the scenes, a veteran is back, because the cowboy boots and the sunglasses are polished and the golden Opel Commodore is purring fresh: Gregor Seberg alias “Helmuth Nowak” is back in town! The iconic investigator is celebrating his “Soko Donau” comeback during the filming of the 20th season of the ORF/ZDF crime hit, which is expected to last until mid-October – and with a promotion to the new head of the special unit, Henriette Wolf (Brigitte Kren) takes her well-deserved retirement in the course of the 20th season.
In addition to challenging new cases, his return to duty sees Helmuth Nowak reunite with old colleagues and get to know new ones. Gregor Seberg and Brigitte Kren are joined in front of the camera by the tried and tested Viennese team of Lilian Klebow, Maria Happel, Andreas Kiendl, Martin Gruber and Max Fischnaller. The 20th season will be directed by Holger Barthel, Katharina Heigl and Sophie Allet-Coche. The 13 new episodes will be broadcast on ORF 1 in 2025.
