14/06/2023 – Corruption has been the dominant topic in Austria in recent years and has made waves beyond the country’s borders. With the BANANA REPUBLIC AWARD, Satel Film wants to discover new perspectives on this topic, which has lost none of its topicality.
The call is open to all creatives who want to think beyond the day-to-day politics of corruption and explore the topic from different angles and in different genres. We are looking for fictional series concepts which deal with corruption at their core, but which should also be explicitly thought through and not remain exclusively tied to politics. The winner will not only receive a cash prize of 5,000 euros, but also the option to further develop the project in cooperation with Satel Film.
