22/06/2023 – The successful series continues! The 9th episode of the ORF/ZDF crime series “Die Toten von Salzburg” (The Salzburg Murders), produced by Satel Film, has again achieved high ratings. “Schattenspiel” already attracted 791,000 viewers in front of the screens during its first broadcast on ORF which corresponds to a market share of 28 percent. The premiere on ZDF was also a success: 5.091 million followed the exciting case with a market share of 24 percent and thus gave the crime thriller the day’s rating victory.
The story centred on excavations in a monastery, a skeleton and a dead monk, putting district inspector Irene Russmeyer (Fanny Krausz), chief detective Mur (Michael Fitz) and Hofrat Seywald (Erwin Steinhauer) on a busy investigation. Other roles were played by Simon Hatzl, Nikolaus Barton, Sabine Waibel, Daniel Langbein, Heinz Trixner and Patricia Aulitzky. Again Erhard Riedlsperger was the director. The screenplay was written by Maria Hinterkoerner. Editorial responsibility was with Sabine Weber (ORF) and Daniel Blum (ZDF).
