Willibald Metzger is supposed to be restoring a theater. But then two actresses in the current play die. Is it serial killer? The Metzger, his Danjela and best-buddy Wollnar get involved in the investigation. Crime comedy based on the novel series by Thomas Raab – with audience favorite Simon Schwarz.
His latest restoration job takes Willibald Adrian Metzger (Simon Schwarz) to a crime theater in Graz. After the work is done, he wants to watch the current play “Mordstheater” together with his wife Danjela (Valery Tscheplanowa), best-buddy Wollnar (Christoph Krutzler) and his old schoolmate and current policeman Senekowitsch (Thomas Mraz). Danjela is a big fan of the leading actress Emelie Fablé. But she doesn’t show up for the performance and her body is found shortly afterwards. When the understudy and previous main suspect Olga dies shortly afterwards, the Metzger, Danjela and Wollnar start to investigate.
In “Der Metzger – Mordstheater”, audience favorite Simon Schwarz takes on the role of the popular novel character by the successful author Thomas Raab for the second time. Based on the novel “Der Metzger holt den Teufel”, director Michael Podogil (“Meiberger – Mörderisches Klassentreffen”, “Der Metzger traut sich”) sends the Metzger on a crime thriller journey through the theater world. The script was once again written by Peter Koller. In addition to Valery Tscheplanowa as Danjela and Christoph Krutzler as best friend Petar Wollnar, the cast includes Thomas Mraz, Alev Irmak, Gerhard Liebmann and Lukas Watzl.
