For years, the wealthy entrepreneur Friedrich Sattmann and his family have spent their summer holidays in the Tyrolean village of Lahnenberg. The Sattmann family has taken the inhabitants of the village to their hearts and is convinced that this affection is mutual. However, the Sattmanns are more than dismayed to discover that the opposite is the case and that, for the inhabitants of Lahnenberg, they represent the worst clichés of the German Piefke. The series triggered a fierce controversy among German and Austrian audiences and Austrian hoteliers feared for their German guests.
