15/10/24 – Seven years after his farewell from SOKO Donau, audience favourite Gregor Seberg is celebrating his big comeback as the new boss of the successful ORF/ZDF crime series. On a set visit at the “Wache” at Vienna’s Handelskai the ‘Nowak’ revealed his future plans for SOKO Donau. Seberg’s predecessor Brigitte Kren, who is leaving the series at her own request, was given a ceremonial farewell with the entire Soko investigative team, as well as ORF programme director Stefanie Groiss-Horowitz and Heinrich Ambrosch, managing partner of Satel Film.
In the 20th season of SOKO Donau, Gregor Seberg aka Helmuth Nowak celebrates his big comeback as the new boss of SOKO Donau. During a set visit to the ‘Wache’ at Vienna’s Handelskai, Seberg revealed how it feels to be back after all these years. ‘Returning to Soko means a lot to me. I spent 11 years of my life there, 11 good years in which I learnt a lot about the job. But what I was most blown away by on my return was the loving, euphoric, even overwhelming love that was shown to me. It’s like coming home to a new environment. Familiar and strange at the same time’ says Seberg. And what plans does the new boss have? ‘All I can say about my style is: I will try to carry on my ideals as Helmuth Nowak. That means: fair, but also strict. Patiently with a stopwatch. The humour is important. My role model is of course Dietrich Siegl as Colonel Dirnberger.’
Unfortunately, Colonel Henriette Wolf (Brigitte Kren) is leaving SOKO Donau at her own request. Brigitte Kren: ‘I was able to spend many wonderful years of my life with you and look forward to my remaining years with grateful serenity. I hope to stay healthy and have the strength to play one role or another for as long as possible and – most importantly – to watch my grandchildren grow up. What will I miss? This very familiar working situation, a pleasant working atmosphere, lovely colleagues and that wonderfully dry humour behind the camera! Thank you all!’
Her fellow investigators Lilian Klebow, Maria Happel, Andreas Kiendl and Martin Gruber, director Sophie Allet-Coche, ORF programme director Stefanie Groiss-Horowitz and Heinrich Ambrosch, managing partner of Satel Film, said goodbye the legendary actress and presented her a golden badge.
