30/01/24 – Vienna’s CID unit (SOKO Donau / Wien) with a new season and a feature-length episode, the broadcast of the 10th episode of “Die Toten von Salzburg” on ZDF and the brand new series “Nachts im Paradies” on Canal+. Many new broadcast dates for Satel Film productions.
The episode ” Chimera” marks the official start of the broadcast of season 18 of “SOKO Donau/Wien” on February 6th on ORF as well as on February 16th on ZDF. A total of 14 new episodes await fans of the Viennese police squad. The main roles will be played by the trusted team comprising Lilian Klebow, Martin Gruber, Andreas Kiendl, Helmut Bohatsch and Maria Happel, led by ” chief” Brigitte Kren.
Usually shown in the early evening program in Germany, the feature-length episode “Der große Mitsch” will be shown on the ZDF prime time on 28 February. In the two-part movie, jack-of-all-trades Michael Holzer, known as Mitsch, (Thomas Mraz) is in serious trouble. A young, presumed escort lady is strangled to death in his apartment, which is constantly sublet due to financial difficulties.
After the successful broadcast with top ratings on ORF at the turn of the year, the anniversary episode of the crime series “Die Toten von Salzburg” is also coming to German audiences. In the episode “Sweet Poison”, the chauffeur of the Bavarian Minister of Energy falls dead from his limousine, and of course on Salzburg soil. Of all things, a poisoned Mozartkugel was his undoing. Broadcast date: February 21, 2024!
And at the beginning of March, Canal+ will be showing the six-part thriller series “Nachts im Paradies” starring Birgit Minichmayr in Austria. The series is based on the graphic novel of the same name by Frank Schmolke, published in 2019, and is about a broken father-daughter relationship (Jürgen Vogel and Lea Drinda). Minichmayr plays a mysterious cab passenger.
