SOKO Donau as feature-film gets top ratings on ZDF

26/09/24 –  On Wednesday evening, SOKO Donau aka ‘SOKO Wien’ generated high audience ratings on ZDF. An average of 4.81 million fans watched the series special ‘Der große Mitsch’ with a market share of 20.5 percent. 

The SOKO Donau team has been investigating as ‘SOKO Wien’ on ZDF since 2005 and is still just as popular today as it was at the beginning. In its primetime premiere on ZDF, an average of 4.81 million viewers with a market share of 20.5 percent watched the feature-length series special ‘Der große Mitsch’ about the lovable petty criminal Michael Holzer and missing ‘Sisi stars’ starring Brigitte Kren, Lilian Klebow, Maria Happel, Andreas Kiendl, Martin Gruber and Helmut Bohatsch. The Austrian production overtook competitors such as the German Television Award (2.58 million) and was only beaten by Tagesschau (5.24 million and 22.8 MA).

“The figures prove it: SOKO Donau sets standards for Austrian crime dramas and emphasises the importance of domestic productions on the foreign market.
