“Vienna Game” launches on Disney+ in November 2026

27/03/26 – In November 2026, the time has finally come: Disney+ will release the six-part series “Vienna Game” about the Congress of Vienna. The screenplay was written by Stefan Brunner, and the series was directed by Hannu Salonen.

27/03/26 Starting in November 2026, a truly magnificent and dazzling party arrives on Disney+. The historical satire series “Vienna Game” invites viewers to the opening of the Congress of Vienna in 1814, staging it as a gripping power play of influence, intrigue, and intense emotion.

At the center of this opulent spectacle is Wilhelmine von Sagan, a brilliant and seductive aristocrat determined to shape the future of Europe. But her ambitions are threatened not only by shifting alliances and ruthless rivals, but also by her dangerous affair with Baron Laski, a charming Bonapartist and political enemy. As Vienna becomes a glittering chessboard of power and seduction, Wilhelmine must navigate a treacherous web of diplomacy, espionage, and betrayal.

The satire series was filmed in 2024 in Austria and Hungary by creator and writer Stefan Brunner. Bettina Kuhn (Satel Film) serves as Executive Producer, Hannu Salonen directed, and Felix Cramer was responsible for cinematography. The couture designs were created by renowned Viennese fashion designer Susanne Bisovsky, with costume design by Elisabeth Binder-Neururer.
