The six-part Disney+ original series ‘Vienna Game’ is dedicated to the Congress of Vienna in 1814/15, the first major European turning point in the 19th century, rich in humour, suspense, intrigue, twists and bizarre characters.

The satirical series by creator and writer Stefan Brunner was filmed in Austria and Hungary in 2024. It was produced by Bettina Kuhn for Vienna-based Satel Film, directed by Hannu Salonen, and shot by Felix Cramer. The couture design is by renowned Viennese fashion designer Susanne Bisovsky.

Vienna Game invites the audience to an opulent, nine-month-long, exhilarating party that led to a whole century of peace in Europe. Synopsis:
Kings, crown princes, ministers, ladies-in-waiting, mistresses, spies, adventurers, inventors, speculators, idlers, artists and prostitutes flock to Vienna, where, after Napoleon’s fall, the future of Europe, money, love and power are at stake. They intrigue, spy, denounce, blackmail, threaten, cheat, manoeuvre, dance, drink, eat, despair, hope, fuck, love, hate, lie, rob, maim and murder. Europe is at stake, champagne is on the tables: the Congress of Vienna backstage.
