“Der Metzger traut sich” to be the opening film of the FFKB 2023
18/07/2023 – The day has come, Willibald Metzger marries his dream woman Danjela Djurkovic! But before the altar things take a different turn… The world premiere of “Der Metzger traut sich” will take place at the Film Festival Kitzbühel on 22 August 2023 where “Der Metzger traut sich” will be shown as the opening film of the festival in the presence of the cast, director and producers.

With “Der Metzger traut sich” Satel Film revives the popular novel character “Der Metzger”. Produced for ServusTV, the thriller is centred on the somewhat eccentric restorer Willibald Adrian Metzger (Simon Schwarz), who keeps stumbling into crimes and other turbulences.
Wiener Blut / Vienna Confidential – Berggericht
With “Wiener Blut”, Satel Film hit the nerve of the audience in 2019. This success story with Melika Foroutan as the Egyptian-Viennese prosecutor Fida Emam will now be continued with “Wiener Blut – Berggericht”.
Daytime win with top ratings for “Die Toten von Salzburg – Schattenspiel” on ZDF
22/06/2023 – The first broadcast on ORF in January 2023 already attracted 791,000 viewers in front of the screens, which corresponds to a strong market share of 28 percent. The recent premiere on ZDF was again a complete success: 5.091 million people watched the exciting case with a market share of 24 per cent, making the crime thriller the day’s rating winner.

06/06/2023 – At the end of May, shooting started for the 19th season of the popular ORF/ZDF crime series. South Tyrolean actor Max Fischnaller is a newcomer among the investigators. Fischnaller succeeds Helmut Bohatsch, who is leaving the series at his own request with the opening episode. Andreas Kiendl, Martin Gruber, Lilian Klebow, Brigitte Kren and Maria Happel are back.

26/05/2023 – This weekend ServusTV’s main evening programme is dominated by the thriller trilogy “Im Netz der Camorra” with Tobias Moretti, Harald Windisch and Antonia Moretti. It starts on Saturday (27 May) at 8:15 pm with the double episode “Im Netz der Camorra” (The Winemaker 1+2). This will be followed on Sunday (28 May) at 8:15 p.m. by “Der Gejagte – Im Netz der Camorra” (The Hunted), all produced by Satel Film and good friends Filmproduktion.

24/05/2023 – In “Süßes Gift” (Sweet Poison), the 10th episode of the successful ORF/ZDF series “Die Toten von Salzburg” (The Salzburg Murders), the spotlight focuses on a topic that probably relates to everyone: the turnaround in energy policy and Austria’s secured supply of natural gas. Actors Michael Fitz, Fanny Krausz, Erwin Steinhauer, Johannes Zirner, Karl Fischer, Susanne Czepl-Zrost and Wolfgang Oliver, director Erhard Riedlsperger and producer Heinrich Ambrosch were on location at Salzburg’s Kapitelplatz.
Start of filming for “Vienna Confidential – Berggericht”
22/05/2023 – The 2019 thriller and ratings hit “Vienna Confidential” is getting a sequel. Until mid-June, Satel Film is filming “Vienna Confidential – Berggericht” in Vienna and Lower Austria for ORF and ZDF, starring Melika Foroutan, Harald Windisch, Fritz Karl and Charlotte Schwab. The 90-minute film is produced by Bettina Kuhn. The director is Katharina Heigl (SOKO Donau), the screenplay was written by ROMY award winner Martin Ambrosch.

09/03/2023 – Start of filming for quirky restorer: Satel Film produces “Der Metzger traut sich” starring Simon Schwarz for ServusTV. The film is a new version of the “Metzger” crime series by bestselling author Thomas Raab. Filming started on 7 March in Graz and the surrounding region. At the centre is the somewhat quirky restorer Willibald Adrian Metzger (Simon Schwarz), who keeps stumbling into crimes and other turbulences by chance.
